Vacuum Energy Storage System

The transition to renewable energy necessitates effective storage systems due to the intermittent nature of sources like solar and wind. Current systems struggle with fluctuating inputs, leading to power wastage. Our proposed Vacuum-Based Energy Storage System addresses this by utilizing vacuum technology and adiabatic expansion to store excess energy as pressure. This stored energy can be efficiently released during low production periods, ensuring a continuous power supply.

By reducing wastage and providing reliable frequency response, our system enhances the efficiency and stability of renewable grids, significantly advancing the global shift towards sustainable energy. The project includes study of Existing Energy Storage Technology and the development of vacuum energy storage system for Long Term Energy Storage with the Research Grant of Rs.48,000 from KCT’s Centre for exploratory research.
